5-31 Great Britain - We American's have way more than our share of horrific
hit and run crashes, but this one out of Great Britain raised a few eyebrows.
An 8 year old girl in Aylesbury, Bucks, was struck by a hit and run driver
and thrown into the middle of the street. Not only did the hit and run driver
flee, but the 8 year old was forced to crawl thru traffic, which did not
stop for her, because both her legs were broken.

5-18 In a story sure to get national attention, police in Los Angeles
arrested two elderly women, ages 75 and 73, on allegations they befriended
a pair of homeless men six years apart, bought numerous life isurance policies
on them, then either killed them, or had them killed, in hit and run crashes.
The deceased were identified as Kenneth McDavid, 50, and Paul Vados, 73,
killed in November 1999 and June 2005.
