23 year old Florida resident Chris Alfonso was killed by a hit and run
driver on Jan 15, 2000. On August 17, 1999, 6 year old Patrick Leahy was
left to die by a hit and run driver in Illinois. In neither of these cases
was the driver captured and yet, it is doubtful they would be arrested if
they were discovered today! Ask your congressperson to end all state statute
of limitations on felony hit and run prosecution!! Tomorrow, it could be
your child that falls victim.
