Hello my name is Collease Smith. I am the mother of 12 year old Royale Harris. I appreciate your website showing interest in the flaws of mankind when it comes to hit and run drivers. Yes this case still remains unsolved for the time being . I often wonder if this person lives in my neighborhood and a person that frequents my neighborhood an out of Towner and /or someone in a social status that would cause a blemish in their relations with the public. Royale was an honor student the oldest amongst 7 children and my hopes for her future are now shredded to pieces. My little girl is dead; she had so many things going for her. So many opportunities that awaited her. Royale fought hard to maintain her grade average she had a must for learning. One day after finding her school bus left her she walked her brothers to school with out my knowing that told me that she was an achiever. Royale was diagnosed with asthma at the age of 3 and when she went to school in the winter it was pretty hard on her. Royale was left back in the 1st grade and when she returned the following year she was determined to be placed in her correct grade. Very intelligent for her age. She did all she could to be placed in her right grade. We worked hard after a while the only thing I had to do was sign her homework and help her when she asked .Royale was top in her class. Where ever she went she excelled. Her test scores were all above average. She was my little star and now my star is with the stars. Her memory will not be forgotten she has left us with a lifetime of memories and her birth will not be forgotten. As a mother I could never forget the her birth and how small her toes were how curly her hair was and how pretty her smile remains. She had the brain of Einstein and the Spirit of an angel. Royale left a host of loving friends and family. That will deeply miss her. |
