In Loving Memory of Tina DeMuro

On November 9, 2005 my sister was tragically taken from my family and I .She was driving home from work when her car was hit by a UPS tractor trailer, the driver kept going, he left my sister all alone and for that I will never forgive him. He was arrested two days later and will pay somehow for his crime but there is nothing that can bring my sister home again. In the blink of an eye everything that was just wasn't anymore. She was 40 years old and absolutely gorgeous inside and out. She was (and is) my sister, a mother (Jason, 19, Nicky 16, Jimmy and Rebecca 15), a daughter, a wife and a friend. At 35 I am having a hard time understanding all the hows, and all the whys I can't imagine how her children must feel. I know they miss her in a way that is indescribable. My sister was a wonderful mother I am reminded of how special she is daily. She has incredible children that make me proud everyday. They don't deserve to be without her. My sister was the type of person that always helped others. About a month before, we witnessed a car accident and my sister without hesitation jumped out of the car that she was driving to comfort the driver of the car that was hit. I was in awe of her. She had a huge heart, a smile that was just incredible and beautiful hazel eyes. We had the kind of the relationship that is rare, we didn't argue or hurt each other and we didn't take each other for granted (although I did think we had more time together). My mom and my sister and I were so close we could always count on each other and I feel blessed that we shared this special relationship with each other and my mom. Every weekend my sister, her daughter and I shopped together and laughed together I miss those moments the most. I miss her with every breath that I take and with every beat of my heart I ache inside for her. She will be missed by many, always.

Trucker sought in crash that killed mother of 4
Friday, November 11, 2005 Police are looking for a tractor-trailer driver believed to be responsible for a crash that killed a Lyndhurst mother of four late Wednesday night on Route 3. On Thursday, friends and relatives stopped by the apartment of the victim, Tina DeMuro, to comfort her husband, James, and their three boys and girl. One friend, Brian Bozik, paused on the front porch of the Lewandowski Street apartment to remember DeMuro, 40. "She was a great mother and a kind person," Bozik said. "Their kids are good kids. This was a case of family that was just trying to do the right thing." DeMuro was driving home from work on Route 3 east around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. She was in the right lane and the tractor-trailer was in the center lane along a stretch of highway opposite the Montclair Country Club. The tractor-trailer crossed into the right lane and struck DeMuro's car, sending the vehicle off the road and into a utility pole, police said. The tractor-trailer never stopped and continued eastbound, police said. Police were able to get a description of the tractor-trailer from the victim before she died at the scene. A search is under way for the truck. Clifton police have asked that any witnesses contact Patrolman Brian Fopma at (973) 470-5906. Friends said Thursday that DeMuro worked for a laser printing company in West Caldwell and her husband is a landscaper.
